Our Story
Over three decades ago, the founders of Fauna International traveled across India in search of the right natural botanicals and a dry climate suited for preserving them. Tuticorin offered the ideal balance of natural resources and port access, making it the perfect place to build an export-focused business. What began as a simple idea and a courageous step into a niche industry has since grown into a company supplying handcrafted natural decor products to markets around the world.
our process
Sourcing
Our raw materials are sourced from different regions across India, depending on the season and the type of botanical required. Working closely with local suppliers and farming communities, we carefully select materials such as natural grasses, pods, stems, and other botanical elements that form the base of our products.
Grading
Once the materials arrive at our facilities, they undergo a detailed grading process. Broken, damaged, or unsuitable pieces are removed, and the remaining materials are sorted and categorized based on size, texture, and intended use in the final products.
Coloring & Bleaching
Based on design requirements, materials are either bleached or dyed. In some cases, this process is repeated to ensure even color absorption and proper setting, maintaining consistency across batches
Drying
The treated materials are then dried using a combination of natural sunlight and controlled dryer booths. While sun drying helps retain the natural character of the materials, our indoor drying units ensure consistency and reduce dependence on weather conditions.
Assembly
After drying, the prepared materials are distributed to different warehouses where skilled teams assemble them into finished products. This stage includes creating potpourri blends, bouquets, bunches, decorative stems, and other handcrafted arrangements, depending on the final product design.
Package and Distribution
Once the products are assembled, they are carefully packed to ensure protection during transit. Orders are then distributed to the appropriate warehouses or prepared for shipment based on the requirements and destinations of our clients around the world.
Effluent Treatment (ETP)
All wastewater generated during the coloring and processing stages is treated through our effluent treatment system. This ensures responsible disposal and minimizes environmental impact, in line with our commitment to sustainable operations.
